5 Easy Ways to Prevent & Control Feline Leukemia Virus

"vet house calls aventura"

Testing for feline leukemia virus is highly recommended for all kittens and adult cats before entering a house with uninfected cats.

To control and prevent this blood virus (which can be fatal) testing should be done under the following circumstances:

  1. All cats prior to their first feline leukemia virus vaccination
  2. All kittens at their first veterinary visit
  3. All cats in an existing household prior to introducing a new uninfected cat
  4. All cats prior to entering a household with existing uninfected cats

Vet Home Express recommends vaccinations only for uninfected cats at risk. To schedule an appointment in the comfort of your own home please contact Dr. Cecilia at 954-243-0269.
